Farbvariante Weiß

Color variant: White

By definition, black and white are not colors – in scientific terminology they are called achromatic colors.
Black is created by the absence of light. Color is created by the refraction of light in prisms. White is not a spectral color, but rather results from the sum of all colors. At the same time, white reflects all the colors of the visible light spectrum.

Our first product, the charging cable lock, was initially manufactured in black. Generally, products in the child safety category must be designed in inconspicuous, unobtrusive colors. Initial surveys of our product revealed that two-thirds of respondents preferred black, although white was also favored by many. Due to the interest in both colors, we plan to introduce white for a further product variant in the next phase.

Why do you know?
A few years ago, almost all charging cables were black by default. A major smartphone manufacturer set a new trend a few years ago by choosing white. Now, more and more white charging cables are being offered.

Both the white and black materials used for securing charging cables are mixed with so-called RAL color additives from the natural material. RAL colors are the nominated shades from a range of globally used color systems and color catalogs, created and managed by RAL gGmbH, a subsidiary of RAL Deutsches Institut für Gütesicherung und Kennzeichnung (German Institute for Quality Assurance and Labelling).

We added the white version of our charging cable lock to our product range a few weeks ago. It will soon be available in our shop – we'll keep you updated!
